Hello travellers, if you are travelling Germany and especially Munich, you might notice that many great things in and around Munich are free of charge: beergardens, an Oktoberfest-visit (excluding drinks!), BMW World etc. But many would also like to experience a football match in the Bavarian capital – a challenge especially if you would like to see the record German champions and reigning Champions League champion FC Bayern Munich.
The whole season 2013-2014 has already been reported “sold out” – however, there is still a handy – and official! – way to purchase tickets for FC Bayern’s home matches held in Allianz Arena.
How to order tickets
Purchasing tickets for German league matches is extraordinary simple compared to other European leagues. There is no personalization of tickets and a great part of the stadia’s capacity is sold to the general public. No membership is needed!
And since 2007, FC Bayern allows it season ticket holders to resell individual matches if they cannot attend the match on their own. The ticket holder simply registers on the official resale-portal “viagogo” (click here), and enters the data of his season ticket and the match he/she cannot attend. The ticket is then available online to everyone who is interested on viagogo.
No shipping required
An interesting feature of the viagogo offer, especially for travellers, is that tickets do not necessarily need to be shipped. So if you are already in Germany and found tickets on viagogo on short notice, you can simply collect them at the ticket counter at Allianz Arena.
If you find tickets on viagogo, you need to add a 15% service charge plus shipping if required. As ticket prices start at 15 EUR, you can make a really good deal.
